Vista SP2 RC提供了.exe和獨立ISO鏡像兩種格式，但其實，用戶還可以自動更新來更新，和當(dāng)初SP1時一樣，修改一個注冊表鍵值即可實現(xiàn)，微軟為此還特地提供了一個工具。在安裝SP2 RC前，用戶必須首先安裝有SP1，如果安裝有SP2 Beta，必須先卸載。
想要通過自動更新來更新SP2 RC的用戶只需下載下面的文件后，右鍵-以管理員身份運行即可。
